I'm now a fan!
So, for David's 32nd birthday I decided to buy tickets to a New Orleans Saints game, since we had sky miles and hotel points from all of David's traveling. He was so excited that he was going to see his favorite team up close and on their own turf!
We flew in Saturday night, got up Sunday morning and headed to the stadium where they do events before the game and then at 1 p.m. they started letting people in to sit down. Of course we couldn't pass up buying some team memorabilia for our kids, which I enjoyed!
Some of the team warming up before the game.
The stadium was HUGE and very loud!
The start of the game - introducing the team, which was quite the show!
The Saints played the Carolina Panther's. This was a big game for two reasons: 1) the Panther's have beaten the Saints on their home field for the past 6 years and 2) the Saints need to stay undefeated. It ended up being a very intense game, but they ended up winning 30-20, which made the trip so well worth it.
We ate some yummy southern food and everyone we came in contact with was so nice. We flew home exhausted, but this trip certainly swayed me to be a devoted Saints fan!
And we can't forget my mom who watched the kids while we sped off for 48 hours. We love you mom and appreciate you having taken such good care of our kiddies!
Chandler's 9!
Chandler got to have a friend birthday party this year. We took him and 3 of his frinds to "Jump On It" where they jump on tons of trampolin's and then they came back to the house for cake, presents and goodie bags!
Party with his friends!Scary Cake!
What a lucky kid!
Presents from his Mom & Dad & Nana!
Happy Birthday Chandler -- we LOVE YOU!
H1N1
I got sick one week before Halloween with flu like symptoms and a sinus cold. About 3 or 4 days later I began to feel human again. After all the festivities for Halloween at the kids school were over (Thursday, Oct. 29) I began feeling yucky again with the shakes and I started having a hard time breathing on my right side -- around 5 p.m. When I informed David of what I was feeling he went into panic mode, but was quick to get the kids over to the neighbors, give me a blessing and get me to the hospital. He hung with me until around midnight and then headed home. Mom had come over to watch the kids, which was a hug lifesaver!
I spent 24 hours at the hospital being monitored (baby too) and recieving pain medicine for the chest pain. I was tested positive for H1N1 and had a small amount of pnemonia in my right lung, thus the pain.I ended up missing Chandler's birthday party with his friends, but David conquered the day without me and I was able to get home that night to see him open his gifts. This ended up being a very miserable experience, but was told that I don't need the shot now. I am immuned to it -- wahoo! Thanks to all who helped our family during this crazy time :)
Spooky and Cute
Went to the kids "Halloween Parade" at school - Chandler is Dracula and Sierra is the Disney Princess Pocahantas!

Holy Cow.....Literally!
I am a few days shy of 28 weeks -- almost to my 3rd trimester.
2 weeks ago my doctor and I scheduled when I should have the baby, which is a bonus to having a C-Section. JANUARY 6th is the magic date, unfortunately we found out that only 2 healthy adults will be able to visit while I am in the hospital, NO KIDS ALLOWED, due to the H1N1 virus. When Chandler and Sierra found out that they would not be able to visit, there were tears. I'm a little upset too, and there is nothing I can do about it, so we'll just have to do the web cam.
Gardner Village
Last weekend, we headed up to Gardner Village to a petting zoo, hay maze and pony ride, as well as, to see all the "Witches" that were there. It was geared toward little kids so Chandler was not as impressed, but Sierra loved all the fun shops, so her and I will have to head up there sometime without the guys. And Eli's favorite part.... petting the pigs!

Cub-Anapolis
For Scouts, Chandler participated in a car race where they had to make their own car (with help from dad). Then the family (the Pit Crew) had to come and support our driver as he raced.
David helped Chandler make the car, but he couldn't be there so Sierra and I were the "Pit Crew". Chandler's car was WAY cool, and he had a great time. He also received his Wolf badge and a silver arrow too. For dessert we had "Fat Tires", which are a scoop of ice cream on top of a donut with chocolate sauce on top. It was a good time.
Way to go Chandler!

Love it!
I convinced Sierra to be "Pocahantas Princess" for Halloween and my mom was willing to make the costume, and this is what she was able to do.
I love it! My mother is such an amazing semstress and best of all, Sierra LOVES it! Thanks mom!
