Tooth #1

Sierra lost her first tooth about 3 weeks ago. It was tears and drama the whole time, but as soon as it came out she was releaved and very happy. She is 1 year and 8 months younger than Chandler was when he lost his first tooth -- he was a tad bummed at the prospect of his younger sister maybe catching up to him in the "tooth loosing" department. The tooth fairy came though and left her 4 dollars in gold coins!

 

Yay for me!

This is what David and the kids got me for Mother's Day. I am excited to see what fun stuff you can do to get in shape and it is a lot cheaper than a gym pass -- so, A+ on the gift David! Thank you!

Why we love Uncle Brett.....

He gives VERY strong, but sincere hugs
He is a human disposal (ALWAYS hungery)
He is easy to talk too
And Brett was the first name that Eli was able to say out of all his aunt's and uncle's -- how special is that?

Last Wednesday, mom, Corinne, Brett, Eli and I took Cameron to the MTC. I love this picture, cause Eli has such a serious look on his face.

Brett had to go back to the house and get Cameron's immunization records, so that is why he is not in these next two pics.

I love you Cameron and am going to miss you terribly, but I am so proud of you deciding to go on a mission and hope while your at the MTC, you will learn much (language) and gain a stronger testimony of the gospel.

The last weekend before Cameron left on his mission, my two sisters (and Alex too!) flew out to spend some time with Cameron before he left. I think I would look a little more like them if I went blonde...what do ya think?

 

Happy B-Day Cameron!

Cameron's 19th birthday was last Sunday, so we got together and celebrated!

 

His girlfriend Kourtney packaged her gift to him in a fruit snacks box that she so brilliantly replaced "fruit" with "fart", cause the guy gets major gas from them -- his favorite snack!

 

I love my baby brother and am bewildered by how old he is -- where did the time go. It's a reminder of how old I'm getting....bummer!

 

Less Hair Anyone?

So, here is my dilemma every summer........BODY HAIR!!! Even after having 3 kids and having 10 pounds I still need to lose, shockingly the bathing suit ain't the problem, it's the body hair. We're talking armpits, bikini, legs and face. I hate it and the minute I have enough money saved up, you better believe that the first thing I'm doing is lazer hair removal, but until then I have a back up plan...."Nair Wax Strips".

They are awesome, and if you can't afford to go to a salon every week like me, they are the next best thing. The wax is already on the strips, so there is NO mess and you just warm them up by rubbing one between your hands and then applying in the appropriate area. Unfortunately, you have to be pretty brave when waxing yourself or you can just get someone you trust to do it.

Needless to say, I'm hoping for a relatively hairless summer as I stomp around in a bathing suit this summer. Yippee! (in a sarcastic tone)

Winter Break in April?

This is what it looks like outside today, on the kids first day of Spring Break. Chandler said, "It should be called "Winter Break" not "Spring Break" -- I would have to agree! Needless to say, we got in the car and went to the Bean Museum, which the kids loved and then we met up with mom and Brett for lunch. So far so good, however I'm gonna need to figure out a few more things that will entertain the kids this week. Yay for me!
